Our guide staff
We are proud of our guide staff, almost all have
been with us for at least three years, if not longer. They enjoy working at the
lodge, enjoy guiding, and will work hard to make sure you have the best experience
possible. All are licensed by the State of Alaska and the United States Coast
Guard. All are accomplished fishermen with both fly rod and regular gear.
We
consider teamwork to be very important, and our guides get together daily to
discuss conditions on the river and which flies/lures have been working best.
This communication allows us to maximize the experience of all our guests.

LODGE
MANAGER - SCOTT
Scott
is
our
lodge
manager, but still finds plenty of time to get out on
the water and guide.
2007
will
be
his 19th
year
on the Alagnak River. He has been managing the lodge
for the past 6 years. It's fair to say that no-one knows the river better than Scott,
and he is always quick to share his wealth of knowledge amongst the other
guides.
Beyond Alaska, Scott has been guiding for over 30 years. In
the
winter,
he
runs
his
own
guide
service
for
steelhead
and
salmon
based out of
Forks,
WA. He has guided all over the Pacific NW.
As well as an expert on gear fishing for kings,
Scott is an avid fly fisherman and an accomplished spey
caster. Scott has fished many places worldwide, including Canada, India,
Pakistan, Africa, and the Philippines.
Scott holds a USCG 100 ton Masters License, and is a licensed welder and electrician.

Republic.
In the winter, Pete lives in Minnesota, where he is a high

technology education and is working towards his masters. In his
spare time he hand makes musky baits and fresh water terminal tackle, and
is an avid ice fisherman. |

Steve
B. joined our guide staff in 2004 and now has 4 years experience on the
Alagnak. He quickly

considering he has extensive guiding experience for salmon and steelhead
in the Pacific NW.
He runs his own guide service in the wintertime, guiding all over OR and
WA for steelhead, salmon, and sea-run cutthroat trout. He lives on the
banks of the Cowlitz River in Washington.
In addition to his FFF singled-handed certification, Steve is also a FFF
Two-Handed Certified Casting Instructor, one of only approximately 30
world-wide.
Steve has a B.S. in Physics. |
Chad joined our guide staff in 2001, and has guided 5 years for us on the
Alagnak River, and 6 summers total in Alaska.
