Alagnak Lodge-Bristol Bay, Alaska

Founded in 1980, the Alagnak Lodge sits a top a bluff overlooking the wild and scenic Alagnak River in the heart of Alaska’s finest wilderness fishing area, the Bristol Bay watershed. Bristol Bay, Alaska, is home to the world’s largest salmon runs, and each summer millions of wild salmon pass our doorstep on the journey upriver to their spawning grounds.

ALAGNAK LODGE  |  Unsurpassed Wilderness Fishing

Alagnak-Lodge-ChumJust five miles upriver from the mouth, our location in tidewater is unsurpassed. Each tide brings another batch of chrome-bright fish, fresh out of the salt water, and full of energy and fight.

This is as good as it gets. Fish for all five species of pacific salmon and trophy rainbow trout in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness, yet have quick and easy access to the lodge whenever you choose to refresh and relax. Spend more of your time fishing and less time getting to and from the best fishing spots.

ALAGNAK LODGE FACILTIES  |  Your Home in the Wilderness

The Alagnak Lodge sits on the north bank of the Alagnak River, surrounded by pristine wilderness that is home to many species of wildlife. With our prime fishing location, comfortable accommodations, excellent dining, and cordial atmosphere, many of our guests return each summer to their “home away from home” in the Alaskan wilderness.

At the Alagnak Lodge, all guests are housed in the main lodge building, which helps maintain a friendly atmosphere that is so important to the success of your wilderness fishing adventure. It is also useful in times of inclement weather. The lodge has all the amenities you would expect; modern indoor plumbing, 24 hr electricity, and daily housekeeping service. Other buildings house the generator shed, work shop, storage, and staff accommodations.

Our main downstairs room offers spectacular views of the river and is a great place to relax after a long day of fishing. Share fish stories with others, or take advantage of our well stocked fly-tying bench and get ready for the next morning.

We have several single rooms, as well as a few rooms that sleep two or three guests. Some of our single rooms have queen size beds to accommodate couples. Larger rooms are ideal for groups or families.

After a long day on the river and a hearty meal, there’s no better way to spend the evening than to relax in our Alaskan steam room.

“Had a great time, my first time to Alaska. Hope to make many more trips. It’s a beautiful state. I had a super time fishing with Bob and our guide Scott. He did a great job getting us into fish every day. The accommodations were super too. I gained several pounds.”
